Cleaning gas tank 120-130

I used electrolytic rust remvoal on the tank of my 444. This took a while but worked well.
Here is a web site that provides some detail on how it is done.
http://www.stovebolt.com/techtips/rust/electrolytic_derusting.htm
I used rebar bent at a 90deg. angle and fitted to a 2X4 with a hole drilled in the middle of a 2' chunk.
Put the bent rebar through the sending unit hole into the solution and attach a battery charger (you need 4 to 6 amps.)the rebar hooks to the + side of the charger.
I would leave mine going all day then empty the solution, rinse, refill with solution and move the rod to the area with the most rust and go again. A small mirror is very useful for seeing how things are progressing.

Cheers!
OK
