Crank but no start -- where is the inner-fender fuse????? 200 1989

OK, so the car didn't start this morning. I also did not hear the "bzzz" which would indicate that the fuel pump is being primed, so I did the following:

Replaced fuses 4 and 6 (twice)

Replaced fuel pump relay

Scraped contacts for both wirings to the coil

Checked for debris on the wire from the distributor to the coil.

I am told that one solution is to look for the bladed fuse clipped to the bracket next to where the headlight relay is. I don't see it. Anyone know of an alternative location, or where the wire to it comes from so that I might follow the wire to the new location?

Follow the thin red wire from the (+) battery terminal.... you will find the fuse.

Much better; it was wrapped up in feet of electrical tape!

Go get a good sealed fuse holder, a 25 amp fuse to fit the holder, and do the slice and splice thing.

Not had an issue with that stupid fuse since replacing in five or six years ago.

Do what Paul says. :-)

Doesn't take much corrosion to make things grumpy. Our '87 was real finicky 'til I replaced it with a waterproof fuse holder and new fuse.

Great Suggestion, to a point. 200 1989

It turns out that the wires in the Crank Angle Sensor are fried, and possibly the ignition amplifier. They can't get any electricity to the fuel pump even after replacing the coil and the engine control module.

AAAUGH!!!!
