Installed New Radiator 940 Turbo 900

I am a newbie here on the board but I thought I would share my radiator swap experience in hopes it helps another. The FAQ section is excellent for instructions on this process. My 92 940 Turbo 95K miles has finally developed the dreaded crack around the upper hose neck. When I removed it I could see that someone had been in there before and tried the old epoxy repair trick.

The old unit was the original Blackstone from Volvo- stamped underneath and has lasted an impressive 17 years. I am very tight for $$ right now so
I bought a CFS 2824 radiator for $160 from my local indie parts guy. Dealership was $274.83 and Autozone was $400 for a Spectron. The CFS was a very good fit except that it did not have the 3 holes on the bottom where the lower plastic shroud screws in from under the car.

I have a electric cooling fan and this job took about 3 hours to do. I would say that it was even easier than many of the brake jobs that I have done. when the radiator is out it is a great time to change belts or waterpump or heater hoses too. Lots of room in there. thanks to Brickboard for giving me the confidence to attack this one myself.
