Unfortunately, it is typically the hood that suffers from the lack of lube on the hinges. Take a close look at your hood line and see if it has a slight "break" just forward of the hinge. This will tell you if your hood is tweaked, or, if your hinges are bent. Once the hood metal is stretched, it will be nearly impossible to bring everything back in to factory alignment, unless you are a truly skilled body man with all of the goodies. Good luck to you.
