945 Huge gas leak 900 1994

Dear JPaganel,

May this find you well. If the vehicle is a wagon, I can give specific guidance on getting to the panel, removal of which gives access to the top of the fuel pump send unit. This unit is secured in the tank by an approximately 5" diameter black plastic locking ring. If the locking ring has failed, the send unit could have come loose. I do not recall having read any posts of this happening. Usually it is the reverse: how to loosen the locking ring.

If the vehicle is a sedan, I'll defer to those, who own sedans.

Hope this helps.

Yours faithfully,

Spook
