My personal advice is do NOT use stop leak for two reasons: 1: It will hide the leak so you can't find it, and 2: that stuff is notorious for plugging up radiators, so NOOOOO!
What I would advise is to check around (by feel) on the heater hoses that go from the back of the engine to the firewall for leaks. From there, closely check around the water pump and thermostat housing for leaks. Yes, on a hot day, the smell of evaporated coolant will waft into the interior when there is a leak under the hood.
