Thanks for the pictures - she looks great. The chrome blackout really changes the look of the car.

Are you up North of Sacramento by chance? My in-laws are in Folsom and that topography looks familiar....

Nice car, I see you left pretty much all the sheet metal in place when you removed the engine. I am about to remove mine as well for cosmetic reasons and also to facilitate the addition of an od tranny. Did you remove both motor and trans together? Do you think the extra length of the od will be my undoing?

One thing that helps remove or install as one unit is to have the car up as high as possible. I had mine on tall jack stands. It facilitates going in at a steep angle then using the angle adjustment to start tipping it into position. Good Luck!

Leave your tranny and O/D attached to the engine, at least that is what I do. One of the engine leveler devices that allows you to change the tilt of your engine is a great thing to have as well. Two people for extraction/insertion is a really handy combination too.
