Hello All, and especially owners of late 94 240's,
Just like to give you a heads up on a problem I discovered as a result of an intermittent no start (no crank) condition on Red Wagon.
Sonny boy in NJ was complaining of the intermittent no start and I in NY tried diagnosing over the phone. After checking the neutral safety switch and battery connections, all clues pointed to a bad starter as after a few deft blows with a broom stick handle, she fired up.
So sonny boy had the starter replaced by Uncle Steve except a week later the same symptoms reared its ugly head. Turned out to be the 60A ignition fuse in the late model 93 fuse box, shown in the pictures, had charred beyond recognition. The picture that's shown is actually from Red sedan where I've made the repair.
In the warm, humid, and salty air of New Jersey and New York there's no doubt that the corrosion that occurred on these Pacific fuses are something to be dealt with. I've cleaned up all the fuses and spades and applied dieletric grease to ensure corrosion will no longer be a problem.
I bring this up because this is another reason for a no-start, no-crank condition on late model 93's.
Marty Wolfson
BTW, my daughter from California helped me post the pictures.
