Well, we have a 92 245 LH 3.1 that started out life as an M47 car, it is now a heavily modified 92 245 with an AW-70... sorry, my wife can't drive a manual and I find them to be a PITA. So we now have a "probably" one of one 92 245 with LH-3.1 and an AW-70. Here is a link of a few pics from the restoration process, sorry, Jarrod erased all the cool pics. :http://www.flickr.com/photos/8498733@N02/
In particular, the Blue-Green 245 pictures should be of interest.
When it comes to making an engine compartment look as good as what you posted, well, that's an old swindler trick! The glossy rubber hoses are the dead giveaway! They pressure washed the engine compartment from the top ONLY and applied a soft gooey spray that makes rubber shine. That goo kinda hardens and looks great for a week or so, but the it flakes and peels off.
If you run across such a "perfect" looking engine compartment, insist that they put the car on the lift and remove the belly pan, that is where you will find out if the car has been "glossed" or actually taken care of!
Those used car folks live on misdirection so assume you will be hosed when you buy one of their "perfectly clean and maintained rides".
