How can I lower a 544? 444-544

Are there any after market springs and shocks that will fit? Or do I have to just cut the springs and if so where can i get new shocks and springs?

Thanks in advance
Doug

Front springs are an unusual small diameter, so you won't have as much luck with 'creatively' sourcing them from hot rod parts catalogs.

I had a front spring breaks 7 or 8 years ago, and got a new pair from GCP.se. Installed them, and then the nose sat really high. I think the original springs, front and rear, had settled over the 40 years or so of holding the car up. I waited a few months for them to settle, and when they didn't, I cut about 3/4 of a coil off to get the car back down to where I like it. I've never messed with the rear springs.

As for shocks, KGTrimning in Sweden sells Bilsteins for both ends of the PV. I got some for the front of mine, but put some Fox body Mustang shocks on the rear because they were cheap and fit well, and they've worked fine for me.

Here's how mine sits (uglying up the PV section at a VCOA show a few years ago):

I had new springs made 1" lower and 20% stiffer, don't think anyone has any already made. you will have to find a spring shop, send them a front & rear , make sure they are wound left & right.

Thanks for the advice! Do you have any pics? Also what wheel tire combo are you running with that setup? How much where the springs and what shocks did you use?
