The OBD1 code reader in the engine compartment does not read the codes for the srs. The srs code reader in behind the srs on the dash. I don't have my book with me right now but you remove the srs cover from the dash and then ground with a paper clip or something of that sort and read the flashes from the srs light in the instrument cluster. If know one chimes in with better instruction I will look up the procedure when I get home and post.
