You put the meter on the Battery or the Battery Cable terminals?

Maybe the Alternator is doing fine BUT the Termination to the battery is dirty. Alternator is running the injectors just fine with proper voltage but the dirty terminals are keeping the battery from getting charged.
I would think at 8 volts the Injectors wouldn't be too happy.
