In a word yes. Having just pulled a set, the old ones you will find are no longer cylindrical having lost thier flexibility and become significantly flattened. If you dont yes they will go on easy but they are likely to be a source of vacuum leakage. Penny wise pound foolish to not. Great opportunity to eliminate a vaccum leak.
