Hi all,

There is an overdrive for sale locally. Add says "for volvo 740-760-240". I guess it must be coming from an M46 box.

Question is: is it a bolt-on to my M41? Given the price of the one for sale, I'd love to include it in my parts collection.

Thanks for the info and sorry if the question has been asked before. Couldn't find an answer using the search.

I really don't know but if yours is a late J-type, chances are a lot better.
It would not be a bolt-on for a D-type OD.

Hi George, I kinda had a feeling you'd pop in here. You've always been of great help solving all my questions!

I have a J-type OD in my amazon, which means that the internals of the unit for sale probably are a swap. I think I'll go for it unless someone here advises against it very soon.

I've got the complete J-type from a 1987 M46. It has the upgraded pistons and large o-rings. I'm in Vancouver, WA. It works perfect.
