Ted,
John Nuttall did this job a year or two ago but the post has faded into the ether of the BB and its spotty memory. So I will step up with my own spotty memory, (ie. above my shoulders). To gain enough room in front of the compressor, you will have to drop/unbolt the compressor but NOT crack the lines open or impact the refrigerant charge.
Jack the front of the car up and put it on jack stands, drop the belly pan and unbolt the compressor from it's mounts. Swing the compressor downward under the car so you can gain easy access to the front of the compressor. Lock the front compressor plate in place with a tool or clamp and nail the center shaft nut with an impact gun or a socket and a long breaker bar. Remove the nut from the shaft and use a puller or pry the clutch off of the shaft.
Installation of the new clutch is literally the reverse of removal.
Hope that helps!
