Reprogramming Radio (Anti-theft) 900

Hello Gal's & Guy's: I need your help (if you would, PLEASE). I just put a new battery in my son's 1st car, a 940GL, and the anti-theft has locked the radio up. I have the code, I think, but when I enter code nothing happens. So, now every time he starts-up it asks for the code. Please help me-What am I doing wrong??
Thank You Kindly-

The dealer can look up the code by VIN , assuming it is original.

Are you hitting the AUT button after the code?

The radio in your car may no longer be the original one. If you give the dealer the serial number of your radio, they can give you the code--unfortunately, this requires actually removing the radio from the dash to see the sticker with the number. If I were to go to all that trouble, I'd be installing a nice new cd/radio unit.

Have you read the relevant portion of the FAQ to confirm you're entering the code correctly? http://www.brickboard.com/FAQ/700-900/RadioAntenna.htm#RadioCodeInput

I know it says wait two hours but I just unhook the battery for a few minutes and have another go at it.

And IMO the OEM (w/ good condition OEM speakers) is a very nice system. The aftermaket hacks always bugger up the harness and seldom offer any real improvement in sound quality (only SPLs) But they do give you a nice pot for your mp3.

I'd leave well enough alone and mount some ghetto blaster 800 watt rack in the truck with a couple of 18s, and run it all off a IR remote from the drivers seat. You will also need to beef up to a battery in the truck

      rock on/

buy the harness adapter kit from Crutchfield and everything is plug and play simple, not a single wire will need to be cut. I had a harder time extracting my hand from the dashboard cavity than i did actually hooking everything up when i replaced the factory cassette deck in my 945.
