Boggs down at random times 200 1989

first things first. Vacuum leaks can cause bogging. With an 89 make sure the CPS sensor has the white band on the wire near where it connects to the harness or for bad insulation behind the engine where it goes to the bellhousing. Then check for more vacuum leaks, fuel pressure regulator for fuel in vacuum hose, and all ignition wires for corrosion where they go on the cap. Check the cap and rotor ect.... It could be simple it could be a difficult culprit to find.
