If it were me, I'd rent a small U-Haul truck AND flat bed trailer to put the Volvo on. I'd rather put hard miles on someone else's vehicle that's intended to haul than my own that isn't. Then I wouldn't have to worry about Volvo events along the way or face a Volvo repairs at my destination when I really need to focus on setting up my new life at school. Then you'll have a ride that's more reliable.
