I disagree with your assertion that wiper motor is dying...if it is working right up to the point of blowing the 25A fuse, it is fine, but drawing an excessive amount of current because it HEAVILY LOADED...remember, current drawn by the motor is a function of LOAD...so you need to determine what the excessive load is, remove this load, and bring it (and resulting current drawn) down to normal levels...I had a similar experience recently when the cowl bushings seized...once freed up and superlubed, the system worked, and continues to work beautifully! If you also have frozen cowl bushings (verify by lifting one wiper at a time from glass and carefully trying to move back and forth just slightly...if bushing is frozen, this will be difficult fairly obvious...with free bushings, you can at least move wipers from one side of slop of the linkages below, to the other, freely).

If you need to remove wiper assy, I recommend this method...remove wipers, and nuts and washers outside, then remove heater controls from dash, demount switch from dash, and drop and remove hte entire wiper mech...a long philips #3 screw driver is needed for the four screws which hold assy to firewall...as I recall, I believe the upper screws are accessed through the heater control hole in dash...its a bit of a contortion, and I seem to recal needing to disconnect speedo cable from instrument cluster for access...the first time you extract the assy is a pain, but its really not too terrible a job...once assy is removed, reconnect to power (WITH FUSE!), and try it (MAYBE WITH LINKAGES TO WIPERS DISCONNECTED) to verify frozen cowl bushings.

Once you have wiper assy out, I suggest refurbing / lubing everything in sight as shown in the article so that it will give another fifty years of troublefree service...

I have gone a bit far here on the presumption that you also have frozen cowl bushings, but symptoms sure sound like it...obviously, you need to verify this FIRST, before proceeding...so please let us know what you find.
