You know you're becoming a mechanic when ... 200

Greetings:
I do go to Harbor Freight, and like their stuff, especially the more expensive tools (relatively speaking). Most people seem to ask the question "is Harbor Freight as good as Snap-On or Craftsman?" and the answer is NO, although Craftsman is closer to Snap On than you might think. The real question is, IMHO, is a specialized HFT tool (i.e. flare or line wrench) better than a regular open wrench from Craftsman or Snap On? Because that is often the choice. I could never afford regular Snap On, let alone special tools, but I CAN afford some specialized HFT stuff. And, realistically, I use HFT less often, not being in the biz, so wear and status and ez monthly payments don't really apply.Plus, of course, most tools have a habit of being "disappeared", and HFT is a lot less painful in that area.
