fuse 4 (fuel pump) - power source? 200 1993

Hey Rob,

Good question. Fuse 4's feed side comes from the fuel pump relay's contact in the fuel injection relay, just over your passenger's toes. Because the fuel pump relay is under the supervision of the ECU, one of two conditions need to be satisfied for you to see steady power there; (1) you are cranking the motor, or (2) the motor is running. Most LH2.4 ECUs will also give you about 1 second fuel pump just after turning the ignition switch on, as well.

Trying that jumper trick you mention will bypass the fuel relay, and the protection it affords, for a good way to diagnose the relay itself, or the ECU. The ECU pulls in the relay when it sees ignition pulses from the ICU.
