an outfit in calif called python injection has rebuilt 1s available. you just need to find a seller as they don't sell to the public.

the aux valves are interchangeable from any 4 cyl, kjet volvo, including the specific 81-up cars, which has different valves for auto and manual. the differnece is the auto valves have an extra slot cut into the door that allow extra air in, meaning a slightly higher idle.

a bypass is out of the question as you would not have a high idle when cold and a correct idle when warm. good luck, chuck.
