I would go with the IPD set up. I have one on my 87 and it added just a bit more punch to the acceleration. We're not talking miracles, here, but a definite seat of the pants improvement. The sound is kind of nice, too, not too loud, but a little mellow. If you add a free flowing cat, backpressure through there is not going to be that big of a deal, and you'll be doing your part in keeping our air clean.
