It's little hard to make sense of your post.
I assume the movement you're describing is rotational rather than radial or axial, in which case it's completely normal. The knock sounds like a bad center bearing rubber holder or transmission mount.
I also assume that your OD is intermittent, especially when hot. This is usually the OD seals, but can sometimes be helped temporarily by using synthetic fluid, like Redline MTL ($$$).
The 4th. gear clutch slip is, indeed, clutch slip. Not the OD.
