Pocket Armor 200 1990

Just making my comment--The door pockets are def an issue. I actually developed and made AND got a temp patent on a product I called “Pocket Armor”. It was a piece of heavy-ish brushed stainless steel almost as long as the pocket, about 5 inches deep, slight outward horizontal bend in the middle that offered cushioning, had a small double fold at the top horizontally so it could clip over the top of the outside of the pocket. Inside bottom had a length of double stick mounting tape that kept the "armor" securely fastened to the pocket. It looked really nice almost as if it were put on by the factory. I actually got IPD to carry it in their catalog one season. Problem was when IPD wanted a second order they only wanted to pay my original “promotional” cost which was my cost, which I had explained to them ahead of time. They refused to pay me any profit, wasn’t asking that much, so that was that. I still have them on our ‘89 wagon pockets-they work great-no cracks for the last 5 years. Too bad IPD was selfish. I actually got a call later on from back east asking if I had any left, ( he got my number from IPD) which I had one pair left , and sold the pair to the guy for $25 + shipping. My last entrepreneurial event I guess..
