I have an umbrella for liability as you describe. Maybe $2 mil, not sure. It's excessive but it's cheap at that level.

$1200 buys a pretty nice 240 around here.

I wouldn't agree with "Insurance is worth every penny it costs". I'm helping a friend right now with a home break-in and the loopholes are amazing.

I'd probably say "Given the way ins companies have lobbied to f_ck us and the fact that most anyone who can sue will do so, paying for high liability is a necessary evil."
