I'll take a stab at the question..... 200

High mileage oil incorporates chemicals known as "seal swellers" which make the existing seals more pliable. They've been used in the quick-fix auto trans additives for years. Avoid them.
As to additives, Volvo specifically forbids them, as does every other manufacturer, for use in their engines.
Change the oil using a good brand, and be done with it. If you want to use synthetic do so, and for assurance, visit the Mobil website. It will answer all your questions regarding synthetics, and dispel the many myths that surround their use.
