Ok, I'm stumped, and can use some help if anything occurs to anybody.
My problem: all at once I lost dash lights, and my passenger rear turn signal stopped working.
Symptoms:
Brake lights and blinkers work fine when lights are OFF, with the exception of the bulb out warning dash light illuminating when you apply the brakes, but all exterior lights are working properly.
With lights ON, no brakes applied - no dash lights, all lights appear to be lit properly outside with the exception of passenger tail lamp, which appears to be too bright.
With lights ON, brakes applied - passenger tail light goes dark. However, if I put the turn-signal on, it functions properly. bulb out warning lamp appears on dash.
With lights ON, DRIVERS side turn-signal causes the radio and center console lights to flash in an alternating pattern with the turn-signal indicator on the dash, ie arrow lights up, radio and console go dark, arrow goes dark, radio and console light back up again, repeated.
When the car is placed in reverse, regardless of the lights being on or off, the overdrive indicator arrow on the dash and the radio lights illuminate.
Things I have tried 2(!) new bulb out relays, cleaning sockets and grounds where I could find them, new bulbs many times, new taillight assembly.
I REALLY don't want to junk this car just because of a stupid brake light, but the local constabulary element has let it be known that a ticket will soon be forthcoming if I don't get it fixed.
Any advice is GREATLY appreciated.
