My first headgasket fix. A few questions. 200 1988

You might want to do a more checks/tests such as a compression test before you decide to do the repair.

The milky oil cap can be very misleading. What you could be very well visualizing is condensation in your oil-which occurs frequently when it's winter.

Last year I thought I had blown a head gasket due to seeing a milky oil cap. Just condensation.

What really steers me toward condensation is that you said your dip stick looks fine.
