Use aftermarket voltage regulators (14.6V) to ensure battery always fully charged? 200 1979

I think you are confusing whether or not the battery will be fully charged with how long
it takes to fully charge the battery.
Further, the few times I have adjusted a voltage regulator to anything much over 14.0
I have either wiped out the battery by decomposing too much of its water or ended up
burning out the alternator.
I believe the factory settings are OK unless you have unusual electric loads.
If you do, you need a bigger alternator, NOT higher charging voltage,
