oil pressure light just came on - is it Definitely the oil pump? 200 1992

It could be the pressure switch, or it could be the wiring.

Is there any difference between hot and cold engine? A cold engine will run more oil pressure. The oil pumps don't fail, but the o-rings on the oil delivery tube do fail and then you experience low oil pressure, especially with an engine at operating temperature.
