RPM drop -- car dies -- then will restart after a minute

Your car is one about which I know very little, since I am a 240 N/A guy.

However, what I do know is that if the tach needle drops suddenly to zero, it has lost power or signal. The problem is electrical in nature. Maybe loss of spark, maybe something else electrical. Is the wire from the CPS undamaged and well connected?
