I would not replace the fuel distributor unless the leak is coming from between the top and bottom halves of the casting or from the metering piston at the top. The leak may just be one of the hose fittings that someone removed. These use copper washers for sealing. The fitting may be loose, the washer damaged, or have dirt under the washer.
The fuel distributor is a complicated precision machined assembly. A proper rebuild may include many precision diaphragms, balls, springs and special O-rings. The high skill level and test equipment needed to rebuild and insure no leaks would preclude a bargain price. Even scratches to the machined surfaces would render is useless. The two halves of the casting are similar to a disc brake caliber. No ordinary mechanic takes them apart.
