ANSWER Brake Flare Nut Removal...Snap-on Versus Craftsman?? 700 1989

You did well: you will kiss that SnapOn flare wrench in future years.

However, and I speak from experience, it does not solve all problems. The flare nuts are invariably corroded solid. Techniques to remove include:
-soaking liberally with Kroil or PBlaster for a couple of days prior
-heating with a torch
-using dry ice to shrink the nut prior to rotating it(get this at the local supermarket)
-first TIGHTENING a tiny bit: amazingly, this works
-never use a cheater pipe on the flare wrench as you will snap off the nut
-ALWAYS reassembling with antiseize on the threads

This post has been marked as an answer to the original question.
