Sounds like a weak main fuel pump. When cold the system control pressure is reduced and the pump can handle that. When hot the pressure is higher, and the pump can't overcome the break pressure built into the CIS injectors. If you jumper the main pump to get it running, and pull the injectors out and lift the sensor plate you'll see the spray patterns. If the injectors come on individually, rather than all at once, and if the pattern is a stream rather than a cone, it will be the pump. That's cheaper than checking the pressure with the required gauge.
