No need to spend that kind of money for the transmission--I have a good one advertised in the "classified" section that would be perfect for you. I'm 45 minutes from Brooklyn. I also should have a filter box. Does your car have an airbag? I have a 240 parts car (non-airbag) with a complete steering column--do not know if airbag equipped cars have the same parts.
I can work on your car if you wish--or direct you to a trusted friend with 40 years Volvo experience. -- Dave
