I clean mine by going to a self-serve pressure washing bay where you put in the quarters and it dispenses engine degreaser and pressure rinse. Cover the distributor cap, coil, alternator. After you finish, let the engine run for about 5 minutes before you drive away to make sure everything is nice and dry.
