Blower motor 200 1990

First time I had this problem, the quote from nearest dealership was (If I remember) was $xxx for the motor and 6 hours labor. When I woke up after hitting the floor, I said I would do it myself. On that 1975 245 I had a extra 2 hours to re-fit the air box to allow for the new type motor which didn't have brushes like the old one did. Still, it is a long job.

Be sure that anything the needs fixing inside that air box gets fixed. That means a top quality motor, a new motor speed resistor, and a thorough check for water leaks in the air box bottom.

Allow at least an afternoon and at least one six-pack and no tender ears nearby. There have been several good posts, with pictures, over the years. With luck you will find one of them.

I remember one that said the job is easier with the front seats removed. They are quite simple to remove.

Good Luck,

Bob
