what were the rear axle ratio choices for 1990 automatics? 200

Your '90 240 with automatic is most likely to have a 3.73 ratio. I know the '93 245 I'm rebuilding as a VolvOldsmobile has that ratio. From my collection of owners manuals--ranging from 1975 to 1993---'75's had either a 4.10 or 4.3 (wagon)--all models. With the B21F came a 3.91 - all models as listed in the '78 manual (and I remember our '76 244 BW55 had a 3.91). The '80 manual lists the auto (BW/AW55) having a 3.73- the M45 and M46 as a 3.91 (as I have in my M46 '80 245). The '81 manual lists only the M45/46 ratios - 3.54,3.73 or 3.91. The '86 manual shows 3.73 for the AW70 and 3.31 for the M46. '93 shows 3.73 for the auto--3.31 for the M47
I think it would be a rarity for any late model 240 with auto to have anything but a 3.73. -- Dave
