Any Aftermarket RELAYs available @ the Local Auto parts stores.???? 1800

Hello,

The relay Volvo used for the horn relay on a 1971 1800E has only 3 connection points.

Easily available suitable relays have either 4 or 5 connections.

The easiest place to find these relays are at automotive stereo or alarm shops and they usually have the 5 connector versions.

You will need to add a jumper wire to make the new relay work.

The new relays should have almost the identical markings identifying the posts.

The jumper wire you need to add is short and should be at least 16 gauge.

The jumper needs to connect the "30" post to the "86" post on the new relay.

Try to find a female blue blade crimp connector with an integral piggyback connection, the stereo/alarm shops might have them.

The combination blade connector with piggyback is more compact than the separate piggyback.

FYI, the center connection on the 5 post relay is not used for the horn relay application.
