1993 240 intermittent stall 200 1993

Just when I thought I was all done with this 240 it struck again.

Every so often it stalls. It happens both while idling in park and while driving. Right after it stalls it cannot be restarted. It cranks, but does not catch. After five minutes or so it starts just fine and keeps going as normal.

It doesn't appear to do it when cold. It's almost like something overheats and stops working, and then cools down and works again.

Previously, it had a long crank issue which went away once I resoldered the FP relay. Can this be the relay again, or should I be looking at the pumps now?

same problem - there is an inline fuel pump and one in the tank - the one under the rear seat(the inline) is electric and makes a humming noise like a chevy Z24 and the one in the tank (accessed thru the trunk was my answer)

Try a fresh coating of thermal heat sink paste on the back of the power stage / ignition amplifier, if that doesn't work try a tested known good used one.

A common issue with the PS is it heats up and fails, when it cools off it works again.

I'd look at the Relay and the connector that plugs into the relay. I'd look at the Power module by the Drivers Headlight, I'd look at fuse #6 to see if it's getting hot and shutting down the Pumps due to too much resistance.

I'd look to see if the Thermostat in the Air box is functioning. It may be messing up the AMM if the T stat is open and allowing Very Hot air to run through the AMM.

Does it stumble when it shuts down or is it like flipping a switch?
Have you replaced the Crank positioning sensor? That's not related to Heat but..maybe an issue.

If there is a stumble, it's barely noticeable.

One other tyhing to check. Someone commented not too long ago.
Drivers side fender where the red wire from the battery goes under the plastic cover (That slides straigght up to remove) The connection of that red wire to the 12V Buss Bar was very loose and he had shut down issues.
