The tach mounts easily. It fits right into the space after you remove the black plastic piece in there now. The cluster is prewired for power and ground to the tach--with pin receptacles on each side. You only have to run a wire from the negative side of the coil to the back of the tach---the original wire would have been black. -- Dave
