I have 2 types and sometimes try them out again for trips:

1) has a hook that suspends it from the glove box door. This seems a poor ideaon the older gloveboxes which are fragile.

2) The other has adjustable crimpers that hook into the AC/ air vents. They require maintenance to keep tension on the clips

So what I really do is wedge a tapered coffee cup between the e-brake handle and seat-bottom. This has served me well for 20+ years.
