Cannot remove under breather box 200 1990

I noticed oil over the past five years or so in the bellow hose between the AMM and the throttle body. I changed my flame trap every year.
I decided to change out the breather box and the hose that goes into the sump. I removed the intake manifold and removed the box easily. However, I cannot remove the hose beneath the breather box. I seemed that it is stuck. i tried with a small
screw driver to separate the hose around the outside edge around the box. I then use a needle nose pliers, to no avail, the entire top part, about half an inch all round ripped out. The did not drop into the sump. It seems it is stuck lower down.
I though this will be easy to remove, I am baffled. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
Also since I have the intake manifold out, do I need to change out the knock sensor and the engine temp sensor. How about the cold start injector, could I clean it or it needs to be replaced? I would like to improve the gas mileage. I have cleaned the throttle body, the IAC, sprayed the AMM. I will replace the spark plugs, the ignition coil, air and fuel filter, air box thermostat. What else I need to do?

Thanks in advance.
