Who has a yellow-red lead (on our USA cars)?... 200 1986

Ken, I believe the confusion over the mysterious existence of "codes" from LH2.2 has the ignition system used in the 7 series as a cause. EZ-117k, which was not used on US 240 cars provided information about knock sensor retard. It did this through blinkety lights giving codes, as defined by look-up tables. Many users of the forums equate a given LH version with the matching ignition version, resulting in 7-series owners calling these codes "LH2.2 codes."

It is one of the purported advantages for a 240 owner making the swap from V/C ignition to Bosch.

But, for a stock 240 owner, who isn't apt to confuse fuel systems with ignition systems, the only blinkety light offered on an 86 is that LED that tells you lean or rich while adjusting the mixture pot on the AMM. No codes to read.

"A woman has twins and gives them up for adoption. One of them goes to a family in Egypt and is named Ahmal. The other goes to a family in Spain; they name him Juan. Years later, Juan sends a picture of himself to his birth mother. Upon receiving the picture, she tells her husband that she wishes she also had a picture of Ahmal. Her husband responds, "They're twins! If you've seen Juan, you've seen Ahmal."
