How many sets of 'clicks' in the throttle position sensor? 700 1992

Daughter's 92 745 has the 'check engine' light come on after I cleaned and adjusted the Throttle body. While I was setting the position of the TPS sensor, I noticed that it had a weak 'click-click' at the opening movement BUT a stronger 'click-click' when I moved the black sensor toward the full open throttle position. Is this normal? Did I adjust it wrong?
The car has a Regina system. Could I replace the throttle body and switch with a Bosch system one, or do I have to use the French made switch only?
Thanks for any help.

If you're in doubt about the "clicks", check if it's functioning properly with an ohm meter.

As I recall, there's a difference between Bosch and Regina switches - seems there is one more or one less wire connected, but I may be wrong. Get someone else to weigh in on this.

There is a 740 with Regina in the PNP yard here in Austin. I'll get the Throttle body tomorrow and check for double sets of clicks.
      Thanks again,

The Regina Throttle body from the 90 740 was undamaged and only a little dirty. After installation (no need for adjustments), the car runs like before = peppy and strong.
This throttle body has the French electrical unit and also has 2 sets of 'clicks', one set just at the start of movement of the butterfly valve and another just before maximum opening of the butterfly is reached. Two sets are apparently normal.
Thanks for the offer of help.

I went and checked mine. 91 ,regina ,non turbo , all I got was one click at the start of rotation . Is that normal?

When I held the throttle body in my hands and turned the lever to open the butterfly I got both sets of clicks. One just as the throttle opened and another (stronger) as the butterfly got to the maximum opening. But after I installed it, I could only hear the first set, even when I pushed the lever to the maximum several times. I think you will get the two sets of clicks the next time you clean your throttle body.
