Your tightening it is what should make it tight. Is this line carrying gasoline into the
interior of the car? Are the fittings made for fuel service?
I'd be pretty leery of a mechanical fuel pressure gauge in case the plumbing leaks.
It is different from having motor oil loose in the cabin!
