Independence Day July 4, 2012 200

Independence Day.

Please refer to the day as Independence Day.

This is NOT Mexico. No Cinco di Mayo.

The date of the declaration was somewhat arbitrary considering the many days required to collect all signatures on the United States independence declaration.

A reasonably coherent retelling is here:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Independence_Day_(United_States)

We live in a nation of massive corruption, hemorrhaging value and sovereignty to most undeserving foreign powers.

We live in a nation of indolent chattel, mostly, who's only 'freedom' is to consume.

I'd love to leave it yet no other country wants some bombast from a bombastic nation perpetually seeking global dominion while creating enemies through Wall Street led foreign and domestic policy.

Do you choose Republican or Democrat? The same. It does not matter.

You created the thread. I merely seek to voice some manner of critical perspective.

Critical perspective: The nearly 260 million or so voting age United States adult-citizens are void of this skill (a critical, literate mind so necessary in the occidental endeavor; education not necessary). Or citizens no longer care as they got what they want. Damn the neighbor and greater community.

Do not placate me with "fellow American" or some Wall Street selected bombast in the not so White House Oval Office with "my fellow Americans." The name of the joined continents is "America." The name of the nation us "United States." And I remain a United States Citizen. We in this nation, collectively, are the United States Citizenry.

Yes, this thread belongs on the http://www.brickboard.com/OPINIONS/

Very truly yours,

The Angry Bombastic
