Fuel Filter 200 1978

There's only the one under the hood. If your car has an intank push pump (early 240/260 cars did not) it will have a sock filter that only needs renewal if the tank unit has to come out.
I've always found it most effective and convenient to use a 3/8" drive impact gun to loosen and tighten the banjo bolt connections on the filters--use a counter hold wrench on the filter. The sharp blast of torque gets the fitting loose in a flash--easily unscrewed by hand after the initial loosening. If you are using wrenches only - set them so they're a hand width apart so you can squeeze them together to get the banjo loose (and retightened)--protects your knuckles.
Have new copper washers on hand. -- Dave
