Before I was given a Volvo comp 25mm front bar I doubled up on originals bars--it was quite effective along with an early 240 (the kind that had a mild step on each side of the diff--as opposed to the ones that came on the later under the axle exhaust pipe equipped later cars) rear bar mounted to the 140 trailing arms--with space pieces inserted inside the trailing arm and the bolts going through both sides. I've had that bar installed for close to 20 years with no problems. -- Dave
